Community Center Task Force
The Community Center Task Force was organized by the City Council in April of 2009. The charge to the Task Force is to examine various aspects of a community center and make recommendations to the City Council. Among other issues, the Task Force will review:
- Whether to build a community center.
- If a center is to be built, the public/private development and operating model which should be used.
- If a center is to be built, the types of facilities which should be included.
- If a center is to be built, the means of financing construction and operating costs.
Thirty Cottage Grove residents sit on the Task Force which meets every two months. The Task Force is scheduled to issue a report to the City Council in the spring of 2011.
