Dr. Steen House

Dr. Arthur H. Steen settled in Cottage Grove in 1875 and built this attractive two-story, turreted
Queen Anne style cottage on the village's Main Street in 1881. Christened "Forest Home," it provides a physical
record of the experience of an esteemed country doctor and represents a well-preserved specimen of Victorian
period architecture in a rural village setting.
