Maps

Welcome to the Cottage Grove map library. This page contains links to maps in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format, which display a variety of information about the City. The advantage of providing maps in .pdf format is that a viewer can also 'zoom-in' on specific parts of the map using the zooming tool provided by the Acrobat Reader plug-in. This format also allows for the maps to be printed out at a higher quality than other image formats.

Because these maps are quite detailed and graphic intensive, they will require some time to download. The file sizes of the maps are provided in the table.

Cottage Grove Map Library
Address and Zoning Map [1,963K] 2011 Proposed Firearm Hunting Areas [228K]
Future Land Use [906K] 2011 Proposed Archery Hunting Areas [276K]
Street Map [434K]

Please note:  If you are trying to obtain information about your specific property or the land uses around your property, you should check both the zoning map and the future land use map. The zoning map reflects the current use of a property, while the future land use map shows what the City has approved for the future use of the property. The zoning and future land use map may conflict. For instance, a property may now have a farm on it, so the zoning map would show it as agricultural.  But the same property on the future land use map might be zoned any of the residential types or even commercial or industrial, which will give you and idea about what is slated to be built in the future.   To get more information about either of these maps or more specific information about a property please contact the Community Development Department at 651-458-2824.

The Use of .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) Files

For many of the applications, minutes and maps posted on the site, we are using the .pdf document format, which requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software to access. Most computers already have this software installed. If you are not able to access these files, it means that you need to download and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
