Cottage Grove Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provides pre-hospital emergency medical care to the citizens of Cottage Grove, Newport, St. Paul Park and Grey Cloud Island since the early 1970’s.

Cottage Grove operates under a unique public safety model with the utilization of police and fire fighter paramedics, with a part-time paid EMT duty crew that responds in the ambulance.

Under this model, Cottage Grove EMS has some of the quickest response times in the metropolitan area and above average cardiac arrest save rates.
