Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for processing all monetary transactions for the City of Cottage Grove. These transactions include accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, investing, utility billing, ambulance billing, and assessments. Other responsibilities include preparing the annual budget and financial reports, and coordination of information systems.

Water Turn On

To get your water service turned on, please call (651) 458-2807 one week before you move in. A meter reader will come out on the move date and take a final reading. The previous owner will be billed for water usage up until that time, and the current owner will be billed for the remaining usage for that billing cycle. There will be a one-time charge of $25.00 for setting up the new owner. This charge will be included on the first bill.


Auto-Pay of Utility Bill

To sign up for an auto payment of your utility bill, please call the Finance Department at (651) 458-2831. You may also download the auto payment form to fill out and drop off at City Hall.
