Fire Trucks

Engine 3115
Engine 3115 is a 1994 Freightliner Pumper built by Custom Fire. This Engine is housed at Station One. Engine 3115 can pump 1500 gallons of water per minute, and holds 750 gallons of water and 10 gallons of foam. Engine 3115 can seat up to 5 firefighters. Engine 3115 is equipped with Automobile Extrication Equipment, a thermal imaging camera, and several other specialized pieces of equipment.

Engine 3125

Engine 3125
Engine 3125 is a 1990 Peterbuilt Pumper built by Custom Fire. This Engine is housed at Station Two. Engine 3125 can pump 1500 gallons per minute, and holds 750 gallons of water. Engine 3125 can seat up to 8 firefighters. Engine 3125 also serves as a rescue truck, carry Automobile Extrication Equipment, Automobile Stabilization Devices, Rescue Airbags, Rescue Sled/Basket, as well as all the required equipment to classify it as a fire engine.

Ladder 3126 is a 2003 75' Ladder built by E-One. Ladder 3126 is housed at Station Two. Besides having a 75' ladder, this truck can be used as a pumper, as it has a 2000 gallon per minute pump, and hold 500 gallons of water. Ladder 3126 also has a foam pumping system, and holds 10 gallons of foam. Ladder 3126 has the city's rope rescue equipment, as well as a thermal imaging camera, several ground ladders, and several other pieces of firefighting equipment. Ladder 3126 can seat 6 firefighters.

Engine/Tanker 3135
Engine 3135 is a 1996 Volvo Pumper/Tanker built by Custom Fire. Engine 3135 is housed at Station Three. Since there are no fire hydrants in Station Three's primary response area, when this truck was ordered, a 2000 gallon water tank was put on the truck. This truck is capable of pumping 1500 gallons of water per minute, and has 2 hydraulic storage racks to accommodate several ground ladders, and the portable water tank. Engine 3135 can seat 6 firefighters, and is the only truck on the department to include an interior pump control panel.

Engine 3145 is a 1985 Ford Pumper built by Custom Fire. Engine 3145 is housed at Station Four. Engine 3145 can pump 1500 gallons of water per minute and hold 750 gallons of water. Engine 3145 can seat up to 5 firefighters. Engine 3145 carries Automobile Extraction Equipment, a Thermal Imaging Camera, Several Ground Ladders, over 1000' of hose, and several other pieces of firefighting equipment.

Brush Truck 3148

Brush Truck 3148
Brush 3148 is one of four quad cab 4WD pickup trucks that the department operates. Each truck contains a water tank and a pump capable of extinguishing brush fires, as well as back pack pump cans, chain saws, shovels, and firefighting brooms. Brush 3148 is a 2004 Ford Quad Cab. It is the only brush truck at this time to feature a foam pumping system.

Tanker 3149
Tanker 3149 is a 1980 Mack Truck with a 4000 gallon water tank. Tanker 3149 is used in the areas of the city of Cottage Grove that have no hydrants. This truck will empty the load of water into a drop tank, and fill up with water at the closest hydrant and return to the fire scene to drop off more water.

Fire Dept. Values

The values of the Cottage Grove Fire Department are reflected in the department’s motto, which is "non sibi, sed omnibus". This is a Latin saying which means "not for self but for all". The department exists to serve the community not only through response to emergency situations but through education, prevention and non-emergency services. The Department has an extensive public education program for citizens from pre-school through adult.
