Take a Child Fishing Day The Recreation Dept. MinnAqua, and the DNR are sponsoring a FREE event at the Hidden Valley Pond on Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Minnesota state law, Chapter 156 of the Session Laws of 2005, requires that "a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees." For the City of Cottage Grove, titles and salaries as of April 17, 2009 are: City Administrator - $116,196.00, Public Safety Director - $107,723.00, Public Works Director - $102,837.00 and Community Development Director - $102,837.00.
