Minnesota state law, Chapter 156 of the Session Laws of 2005, requires that "a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees." For the City of Cottage Grove, titles and salaries as of Jan. 1, 2008 are: City Administrator - $114,480.00, Finance and Administrative Services Director - $104,586.00, and Public Safety Director - $100,612.00.

Survey Results Presented
A recent survey revealed that 95% of Cottage Grove residents rated the quality of life in their community as “excellent” or “good.” To see the complete results in PDF format, follow this link, and a press release by City Administrator Ryan Schroeder is available here. Forum on Sexual Predators
How safe is our community? How safe are your children? These questions were among many that were addressed by experts in the field of sexual violence prevention in a community forum.
