River Valley Men's Hockey League - Standings/Schedule

9th Annual Cottage Grove Adult Hockey Tournament

The Cottage Grove Ice Arena is taking registrations for the 2010 Adult Hockey Tournament.  This event will be held on April 2 & 3, 2010.  This tournament format includes an 8 team bracket with a 2 game guarantee.  6 of the 8 teams will play 3 games.  All players must be 18 years of age.  Registration deadline is March 26, 2010.  Cost is $350 per team.  For more information or to register your team call the Ice Arena at 651-458-3400.

2010 Adult Softball Leagues

Softball season is just around the corner and it's time to start getting your teams together for another year of exciting softball action.  All games will take place at the Lamar softball fields.  All leagues are sanctioned by the Amateur Softball Association (A.S.A.) and are officiated by umpires from the So. St. Paul Umpires Association.  All league fees are due at the time of registration and teams are not considered registered until all fees are paid.  League fees cover umpires, balls, championship prizes, field maintenance, and sanctioning fees.  There will be a mandatory managers meeting at the Cottage Grove Ice Arena on Wednesday April 14th at 6:30pm.  For more information please call the Recreation Department at 458-3400.

Adult Tennis League

This year's league will be a more traditional league where all game times and the location will be scheduled in advance.  Each game will be played at the Highlands park tennis courts for 8 weeks, with a one night playoff on the last night to crown a champion.  Each match will consist of 3 games.  This is a co-ed league where fun is the main priority.  Winner receives a plaque and t-shirt.

Ages - 16 and up

Dates - June 16, 23, 30, July 14, 21, 28, and August 4, 11, 2010

Walking Club

Here is your chance to get consistent exercise once a month and meet new people in Cottage Grove.  The Walking Club will meet from March through November starting on March 6, 2010.  Participants will meet on Saturdays at Woodridge Park.  This program is for walkers of any level.  Certified Personal Trainer, Annie Elmer, will be leading the walks.  Register for the Walking Club in the office or on-line at www.cottage-grove.org.

Ages - Everyone is welcome, kids 12 and younger need adult supervision

Couples Bocce Ball League

Bocce ball teams of four may consist of men and/or women; teams are encouraged to sign-up as couples.  The league will be 12 weeks long and playoffs will be held the last night.  League champions will receive a plaque.  There will be a minimum of 4 teams and a maximum of 8.  Official League Bocce Balls are provided.

Ages - 16+

Adult Co-Ed Kickball League

Join the Southeast Valley Recreators Kickball League which includes Hastings, Woodbury, Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul, and West St. Paul.  All games will be played on Sundays between 5:00-9:00pm.  Teams must have 5 women out of the 10 players on the field at all times (additional rules will be in the league packet).  Each team will be provided with a team kickball and schedule at the manager's meeting.  League champions will receive a gift certificate.  Games will be officiated.  Register by May 17, 2010.

Ages - 18+

Dates - June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, & Au. 1, 2010

Games Times - 5:00-9:00pm

Place - Lamar or Ojibway Park in Woodbury

Cost - $150

NOTE - Cottage Grove may offer a non-officiated league for $75 per team if no registrations are received for the officiated league.  Call the office for more information.

Carpetball Leagues

Get your friends, family, and co-workers together for another fun season of Carpetball at the Lamar Softball Complex.  Game times are from 6:00-9:00pm and begin August 17, 2010.  Games are played with a "carpet" placed behind home plate and the manager from the team at bat acts as umpire.  League Champion t-shirts will be awarded to the winners of each league.  Full payment is due at time of registration.  All players must be at least 16 years old.
