Skating Lesson Discount
In an effort to keep participation costs down, we offer a lesson discount program. Individuals PRE-REGISTERING atleast 1 week before lessons begin receive a 10% discount off all classes. See below for exact dates.

Skating Lessons
Our Learn-To-Skate program is designed to prepare participants for all ice sports including; recreational skating, figure skating, hockey and speed skating. Group lessons allow you to socialize with others while developing skills faster therefore eliminating the struggle to learn on your own. Students are individually evaluated at the start of each session to make certain they are in the appropriate level. A "Skate Savers Card" ($40 value) is included in the registration fee for the following classes; Skating Tots, Levels 1-4, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Adult Lessons (see details below). Cards will be mailed after the second class. Achievement awards are presented as skaters pass each level.
Please come prepared with
- leather, single blade hockey or figure skates which are properly sharpened
- mittens or gloves
- warm and comfortable clothing
- a bike/hockey helmet if your skater is 5 or younger
First night of lessons
- arrive 15 minutes early
- find your color coded nametag n the arena lobby
- use the assigned area to get dressed for lessons
- identify your coach and designated lesson area on the ice according to your nametag color
- take an arena schedule of events to be aware of public skating times
- a "Skaters Savers Card" will be mailed to you after the first class.
| Skating Tots - $65
Beginner skaters ages 3-5; who have never skated before. Skaters will play games and sing songs as they develop skills needed to balance and move across the ice.

Skaters must have completed Gamma. Skaters will learn the basics of ice dance patterns and partner positions while skating to music.

Team Compulsory - $95
A group of six skaters Freestyle 1 and above will perform synchronized skating as a team. Skater needs approval from the Director before registering.

Power Skating - $75
Skaters must have completed Gamma. Skaters will improve their strength and conditioning while improving posture, control and edge quality using moves in the field and drills.

Fine Line Teen Synchronized Team
Skaters participating in the Cottage Grove Skating School are eligible to try out for the Precision Line team. This team participates in exhibitions and competitions throughout the season. Included in the registration fee are coaches fees, ice time, Team Spirit Competition and the Annual Ice Show. The power skating classes will help prepare skaters for Precision Line try-outs. Costumes are not included. Registration fee is for the entire season. Fee's can be broken down into 3 equal payments over the season.
