Position ......... Playground Leaders
Salary ........... $8.50-$9.50 per hour
Dates ............. June 9th – August 22nd, 2008
Hours ............. Up to 40 hours per week
These positions will be responsible for programming, planning and supervising activities for youth ages 5-13 years old. Activities include arts and crafts, games, special events, and many other fun things. Playground Leaders also serve as counselors for Safety Camp and Adventure Camp. Leaders will be assigned to work at a playground facility up to 40 hours per week. All applicants must be a minimum age of 17. Experience in a recreation leadership position is preferable. Leaders should have broad knowledge of games, sports and crafts skills. Must be able to work well with children and should possess good leadership skills. There are ten positions available.
Position ......... Pre-School Program Leaders
Salary ........... $8.50-$9.50 per hour
Dates ............. June 9th – August 22nd, 2008
Hours ............. Up to 30 hours per week
Pre-School Program Leaders will be responsible for coordinating Tot Time; a program for three to five year olds. Tot Time involves story time, a craft project, games, and snack. These positions will also be responsible for programming Tiny Tot Time; which is very similar to Tot Time, but it is for one to three year olds and their parent. All applicants must be a minimum age of 18. Experience working with youth ages one to five is necessary. Leaders should have broad knowledge of games, sports and crafts skills for young children. Must be able to work well with children and parents, and possess good leadership skills. There are two positions available.
Position ......... Tennis Instructor
Salary ........... $9.00-$10.00 per hour
Dates ............. June 9th – August 22nd, 2008
Hours ............. Up to 20 hours per week
Instructors must know how to play tennis and understand the basic rules in order to teach tennis lessons. Lessons are offered to youth ages 5-13 years old. Staff will also be responsible for the Youth League and instructing the Private Tennis Lessons. Applicants should be a minimum age of 17 and an understanding of tennis. Leaders should have broad knowledge of how to teach tennis, run a league, and interact with youth. Must be able to work well with children and should possess good leadership skills. There is one position available.
