The number for police administration and records is (651) 458-2850. It takes 24-48 hours to process the requests. There are fees associated with the reports. Accident
reports are $5.

A. Listed below is the pertinent information about finding your lost pet:
If you've lost your pet, call the police department at (651) 458-2850, Monday thru Friday between 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.
If they've brought in your pet, they can tell you how to recover it, otherwise they will take your
name, phone number and a description of the pet.
Once an animal is turned in, if it is licensed, the police department will attempt to contact the
registered owner at the phone number given at the time the license was issued. If the police are unable to contact
the owner, the animal will be impounded.
Impounded animals are brought to Park Grove Pet Hospital at 7663 79th Street South in Cottage
Grove. You can call them directly at (651) 459-9663 to see if your pet is there. They are open Mondays, Wednesdays
and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Impounded animals are kept at Park Grove Pet Hospital for 7 days.
After 7 days, animals that are unhealthy, aggressive, or otherwise not adoptable are put to sleep.
Adoptable animals may be kept at the pet hospital indefinitely until a new home is found for them, or they may be sent to
a shelter or rescue agency. Please contact Park Grove Pet Hospital for more
information.
You will be assessed a fee to recover your animal, payable to the City of Cottage Grove. The fees
must be paid before the animal can be returned. Stop into the Police Department at City Hall, during the same hours
that the Pet Hospital is open. After fees are paid, the pet can be picked up at the Pet Hospital.
