Protecting our natural environment at the City of Cottage Grove has developed as a priority for
the citizens and the City Cottage Grove currently has two watershed districts within the City. The City has a
Water Resource Management Plan which outlines strategies to protect Cottage Grove ponds and wetlands.
Most recently, Cottage Grove has taken a leadership role in providing public education on
environmental issues. The City publishes various environmentally-focused supplements to the Cottage Grove Reports
newsletter four times a year. The City also periodically mails newsletters targeted at residents in utility bills.
