Composting
Rumpca Companies, Inc. is operating the City's compost site. The hours and rates are shown below. If you have any questions you can call the compost site at (651) 459-1556 or visit their website at www.rumpcacompanies.com.
The City's compost site, located at 95th and Glendenning Road, typically is:
- Open during the summer and the first two weekends in January to accept Christmas trees.
- Closed around the time most leaves have fallen or when we get a measurable snow in the area.
March 22 - September 2010, the site has the following schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday - 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday - Closed
October - November 2010 (weather permitting), the site has the following schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - Dusk
Saturday - 9:00 a.m. - Dusk
Sunday - Closed
The Compost Site will re-open during the first two weekends in January , so residents can drop off Christmas trees. Cost will be $1.00 per Christmas tree the $1.00 fee will be waived if a donation of a canned good is brought in to be donated to the local Food Shelf.
