Composting
Rumpca Companies, Inc. is operating the City's compost site. The hours and rates are shown below. If you have any questions you can call the compost site at (651) 459-1556 or visit their website at www.rumpcacompanies.com.
The City's compost site, located at 95th and Glendenning Road, typically is:
- Open during the summer and two weekends in January to accept Christmas trees.
- Closed around the time most leaves have fallen or when we get a measurable snow in the area.
Waste Accepted:
Leaves, grass, brush, logs, stumps, wood chips, wood waste, sod, soil, wood pallets, cement, bricks and landscape rock.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT TREATED LUMBER!
Available for Sale:
Screened compost, mulch & wood chips
The Compost Site will re-open during the second and third weekends in January , so residents can drop off Christmas trees. Cost will be $1.00 per Christmas tree the $1.00 fee will be waived if a donation of a canned good is brought in to be donated to the local Food Shelf.

Sunday, January 8 & 15, 2012 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
