Home City Gov't Departments Public Works Fleet Maintenance      

The Fleet Maintenance division of Public Works is staffed with four full-time mechanics responsible for the maintenance of 250 city vehicles and other city equipment. These vehicles range from police squad cars to snow plows, fire engines and ambulances. Their primary responsibilities are to perform routine service, preventive maintenance and to complete all necessary repairs on city-owned vehicles and equipment.

The Fleet Maintenance division also assists other Public Works divisions as needed, particularly during the snowplowing season. Without the maintenance division, the entire Public Works Department would not be able to service and maintain the communities of Cottage Grove.
