A large crowd turned out March 1 to celebrate the relocation and expansion of The Healing Place of Cottage Grove. Owner Ramona Westerberg is an active member of the business community, serving on the City’s Economic Development Authority and the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.
“Ramona opted to expand her business in Cottage Grove,” said Mayor Myron Bailey. “We’re very excited and happy for you.”
The Healing Place of Cottage Grove offers massage therapy services as well as essential oils.
Westerberg began her business out of her home in 2006, moving to a space in the Point West Business Center in 2010 before moving to a newly redesigned location in the building in January 2017.
“This is a dream for me and my staff,” said Westerberg.
Westerberg employs six massage therapists and two front desk staff, all long-term and local residents of the community. The new 1,800 square-foot space has six private treatment rooms, as well as a multipurpose room which doubles as their couple’s room and their conference room where educational seminars will be held for their clients.
Before Council member Steve Dennis, who also serves as Vice President of the Economic Development Authority, handed her the golden scissors to cut the ribbon, Westerberg thanked her friends and family for their help in getting the new space ready.
“Pricing is $65 for one hour, and we offer a $10 discount for a first visit,” said Westerberg when asked about pricing.
The Healing Place of Cottage Grove is located at 8617 W. Point Douglas Road, Suite 140, Cottage Grove. Their phone number is 651-206-7141 and their website is www.thehealingplacecg.com, where they also offer online scheduling.
